Monroe County Senior Services

Transportation services are available which allow you to get to medical appointments, banks, grocery shopping, visiting relatives in nursing homes or hospitals, etc. Specialized transportation may be arranged for those using wheelchairs. Some transportation is provided by volunteers. NO transportation is available for hospital beds nor is there medical staff to accompany potential clients on any trips. Reservations are required along with a 72 hour notice. Charges vary. To learn more, call the Transportation Coordinator at (608) 269-8689, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. VOICE MAIL AVAILABLE.


Fees:

 Mini-bus: $3.00 in County

               $5.00 Out of County       

Volunteer Driver: Fees based on mileage

               $6.00 under 10 miles

               $9.00 for 10-24 miles

               $14.00 for 25-44 miles

               $18.00 got 45-64 miles

In case of emergency a local ambulance must be called

Cancellations require a 24-hour advance notice.
Fixed Route:  

In Monroe County: 

                        Monday thru Friday

                        Special Rate ($3.00) 1st and 3rd Thursday

Out of County to La Crosse:

                       Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday

                       Special Out of County Rate ($5.00) On Tuesday and Thrusday
